Now more than ever we look to maintain and enhance our well-being and so it is no surprise that there has been a continuing upsurge of creative and original entries in The Wellness Space.

The shortlist for The Wellness Space in the 2021 INDE.Awards are expertly designed to sustain our health and wellbeing with the breadth of projects and the resolution of each design simply exceptional.

The best gyms, yoga studios, beauty salons, retreats, clinics and healthcare centres have been designed to enhance the client experience, with materials, fixtures and fittings, light and spatial flow highly considered elements of every design.

Although the projects in the shortlist are definitely individual, there is a continuum between each that includes fine detailing, excellent spatial flow and a soft colour palette. Functionality is key, and to be expected, however the various environments are acutely sensitive to user’s needs as well as providing inventive and cutting-edge interiors to delight the eye.

With dental clinics and medical facilities in the shortlist, it is clear to see that visiting the doctor or dentist becomes a more welcoming experience, as these projects exude calmness coupled with a relaxing ambience.

Health and wellbeing is assured in the various meditation, massage and yoga studios presented, and design features such as the use of creative lighting, the circle or arch motif and generous spaces in which to move about, take centre stage.

Gyms and health retreats cater for the essential routine of a healthy life however those in The Wellness Space category are tech ready and designed with luxury in mind to present a more relaxed and memorable experience for clients.

Even having a manicure becomes special, where interior design creates a singular environment for clients to enjoy while maintaining their beauty routine.

The Wellness Space shortlist is filled with projects that are re-defining how our wellbeing is supported, just as Grohe provides the most innovative and technologically advanced products that help maintain our health.
