Interface recently expanded its business beyond the corporate office sector with a new hospitality range. Having launched in the US two years ago, following thereafter in Europe, Interface Hospitality has already amassed a client portfolio that includes some of the most prominent hotel chains in the world. Now, the leading carpet tile designer and manufacturer is bringing this offering to Asia.
Florence Sam, a 26-year veteran of the hospitality industry, has been appointed to lead the charge as head of Interface Hospitality in Asia. Sam says, “The Asian soft flooring market is traditionally broadloom-dominated, so to offer architects and designers a new design solution which enables them to create floors with supreme style and flexibility is a rewarding challenge.”
She continues, “Looking at our achievements in America and Europe, Interface Hospitality products will be an attractive proposition for this sector in which image, comfort and practicality rule. The functionality and sustainability credentials that encompass our flooring solutions also add exceptional advantages to our offer.”
The hospitality range being launched features an extensive selection of patterns, classified as classic, modern, organic, traditional and whimsical. Styles run the gamut from densely decorated geometrics to large scale, stylised floral to 20th century interpretation of oriental motifs. The range can be specified in a wide selection of colours and configured into flooring landscapes that are either custom wall-to-wall or area rugs. The product selection is categorised as Guestroom, in which Over the Edge™ is currently the most popular design, and Corridor and Public Areas, in which Head Over the Heels™ and A Cut Above™ are the most frequently requested.
In the hospitality sector where high performance is a priority, Interface Hospitality’s modular carpet tiles hold an advantage over traditional flooring since soiled or stained areas can be quickly and easily remedied by simply replacing individual tiles as needed. Glue-free installation with TacTiles™, Interface’s proprietary installation system, also reduces mess, odour and VOCs, and makes selective replacement of a tile that much easier.
And with sustainability being unassailably the brand’s signature, the tiles in this series are made with post-consumer content fibre and optional post-consumer content backing resulting from Interface’s ReEntry™ carpet recycling programme. The products are also created to last, with durability, long-term appearance, superior colourfastness and stain resistance setting these products apart.
