Vivian brings his knowledge of working in the region to drive forward the vibrant and expanding Hong Kong Studio and Asia Team.
October 12th, 2014
Benoy has just welcomed Global Director Trevor Vivian as the new Head of Studio at the firm’s Asia Headquarters in Hong Kong.
Trevor joins Benoy Hong Kong from Shanghai where he has been overseeing and developing the company’s business in mainland China since 2009. During Trevor’s time in China, Benoy has developed a strong foundation in the country with 33 built schemes and more than 160 active projects across 45 cities.
“Trevor is an important addition to our Global Board and to the strategic guidance of Hong Kong and our studios in Shanghai and Beijing. A member of our directorship team for many years, Trevor is a valued and influential leader within Benoy and has played a major role in the firm’s successful growth throughout the East over the last decade,” says Simon Bee, Global Design Director.
With over 30 years of experience as an Architect in the industry and the last ten years with Benoy, Trevor has worked across Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East to build a diverse and international portfolio, which includes Westfield London, Al Raha Beach in Abu Dhabi and the masterplan for Shanghai’s future third CBD, Lujiazui Pudong Qiantan.
“Benoy is a true multi-disciplinary, global studio that continues to push boundaries,” says Trevor. “We are now working in more than 55 countries around the world and in more sectors than ever before – from Retail, Hospitality and Mixed-Use to Aviation and Urban Regeneration. The demand for our services has seen Benoy extend beyond Masterplanning, Architecture, Interiors and Graphic Design, to offer, for example, Product Design and Branding.”
“Working alongside our leadership team both in Asia and across the globe, I am committed to the continued success of what is the heart of our firm in the East, Hong Kong, and our studios across the region. While I had planned to come to Hong Kong to work alongside our late friend and leader, Peter McCaffery, I now take up the reigns to continue Peter’s work and guide Benoy’s ongoing aspirations and Team of over 400 across Asia.
“Entering Hong Kong in 2002 was the catalyst for our success in the East and the region remains an exciting and dynamic market for Benoy.”
