Steelcase’s latest release Gesture continues on its big global launch in Hong Kong. The showroom was dedicated to the revolutionary office chair, which wow-ed visitors with its intuitive response to the use of technology in offices today.
Guidebooks and tags all prepped for visitors at The Space
It was a one-stop design fest for those who visited The Space on Hollywood Road. Here, visitors got to view products, both familiar and new, beautifully put together design books, and creative installations to inspire.
Gray Hawk @The Space
Gray Hawk has been been designing and crafting bespoke furniture for over 40 years, and at The Space, the designer presented his eponymous brand to the Hong Kong market. In addition to exquisitely made chairs, the brand also showcased the grand Ruhlmann Bed.
Seventhirtyam @The Space
David Trubridge was the star of the show at the Seventhirtyam presentation. The brand’s signature lighting was showcased as a glorious display of light, patterns and colour.
Peter Tay @The Space
Singaporean interior designer Peter Tay launched his long-awaited monograph in Hong Kong. Set behind a glass top within a black box, the monograph was presented as the precious piece of art that it is.
The Cubes Indesign® Lounge @The Space
Carl Hansen & Son helped to create the cosy Cubes Indesign lounge on the second floor of The Space where guests could rest their feet. To complete the picture, one of Bolon’s monochromatic textile flooring made for the ideal complement.
Cubes Indesign® Installation
Architectural Project Unit (APU) sculpted an immersive experience for visitors using pages from past issues of Cubes Indesign®. Design that is inexpensive and memorable — now that is true creativity!
Design Hotels™ @The Space
Design Hotels™ collaboration with Finnish design brand Artek made for an elegant tableau at The Space. The XXL Collector’s Edition (only 1,000 sets produced) consists of The Design Hotels™ Book, Artek’s famous Stool 60, and an elegant table.

An HBF lounge at Lamex allowed visitors to find out more about the illustrious American brand
Lamex
One of two satellite locations, the Lamex showroom at North Point presented its 4+ lounge seating series and occasional tables, together with the Atelier lounge seating series. Of note, US furniture brand HBF also created a lounge setting including pieces designed by American design doyenne Barbara Barry.

Mirra 2 chairs from Herman Miller were placed on pedestals both literally and figuratively

New product launches continued at the sweeping POSH showroom at Quarry Bay. Studio 7.5’s Mirra 2 chair for Herman Miller made for the main event as it was officially presented to the Hong Kong market for the very first time. Colour variations raised on pedestals, a video presentation and Herman Miller representatives on hand all helped visitors familiarise themselves with the innovative new product.
