One of the world’s most comprehensive design awards, the A’ Design Award and Competition has bestowed recognitions to a total of 1,958 designs from 98 countries in 97 different design disciplines in its 2016-2017 edition.
One of the world’s largest and most diverse international design awards, the A’ Design Award and Competition began as a PhD thesis project on the topic of design awards and competitions at Italy’s Politecnico di Milano. Following an analysis of over 1,000 existing design awards and competitions, A’ Design Award and Competition was established to provide a fair, ethical and competitive platform for companies, designers and innovators from all design fields to compete on, and to present themselves to buyers, publishers and the industry at large.
A’ Design Award and Competition offers one of the most diverse design categories, including Good Spatial Design (Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design and Landscape Design), Good Industrial Design (Product Design, Appliance Design, Vehicle Design and Machinery Design), Good Communication Design (Graphics Design, Interaction Design and Marketing Design), Good Fashion Design (Garment Design, Fashion Accessory Design and Footwear Design), Good System Design (Service Design, Design Strategy, Quality & Innovation) as well as for Achievements in Arts & Literature.
A’ Design Competition results are announced every year on April 15. Best products, projects and services worldwide that demonstrate superior design, technology and creativity are rewarded with the A’ Design Award; the symbol of excellence in design and innovation. There five distinctions bestowed upon the best of bests in all design disciplines annually: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron A’ Design awards.
The 2016-2017 edition of A’ Design Awards and Competition has bestowed awards for a total of 1,958 Winners from 98 countries in 97 different design disciplines. Entries were carefully evaluated by an internationally influential jury panel composed of no less than 83 members comprising established scholars, prominent press members, creative design professionals and experienced entrepreneurs who devoted great care and attention to details while voting each entry.
Among the winning entries were projects from some of the best Asian creatives like Park+Associates, Arc Studio, Bean Buro, Genius Loci and Ito Kish, just to name a few. A large number of the awards in the Spatial Design categories were given to projects built in the Asian region, particularly in China.
