The curated space at The Space
Across two design-filled days at Hong Kong Indesign last week, premium international and regional brands pulled out all the stops to present their finest products with many taking the opportunity to launch brand new designs in the market.
The curated space at The Space
A total of seven major exhibitors were housed at the event’s curated space located at The Space on 210 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan. With Woven Image, Scandinavian Business Seating, Vitra, Ober Group, Seventhirty AM, IROCO Design and My French Room enjoying a strong presence, it was hardly a surprise that this became a major stop along the design route.
Showrooms within the Wan Chai precinct, including The Madison Group, colourliving, Clestra and Wilkhahn also opened their doors to showcase their own unique brand of hospitality and their new and wide-ranging product offerings.
It was standing room only at Design Conversations. Making its Hong Kong debut at this year’s event, the moderated panel series brought together best-in-category designers and thought leaders to discuss the changes, challenges, opportunities and latest directions in four areas of design. The discussions were rigorous and engaging, with many questions coming from the floor.

In the midst of it all, networking parties held at various venues including The Space (hosted by Woven Image, Vitra and Scandinavian Business Seating) and Wilkhahn gathered key members of the design community together, helping to foster new connections and strengthening old friendships.
The highly eventful design journey rounded off with a mega VIP after-party at Armani/Prive, kindly sponsored by Greenlam.
