Challenging a new generation of designers, Digital Crystal arrives at Beijing Design Week.
October 3rd, 2013
In collaboration with Swarovski Digital Media and Beijing Design Week, a week long exhibition showcased newly commissioned pieces from emerging and established designers.
The China-based exhibition explored the concept of memory in the fast-paced digital age.
Along with some of the most exciting talents in contemporary design, the exhibition encouraged those to reflect on fresh and thought-provoking ways of reconnecting with our past through printed photographs.
Artists were also asked to utilise alternate design outlets to include diaries and other permanent methods of capturing thoughts and experiences.
Swarovski Digital Crystal, Beijing was designed by Architect Ma Yansong of MAD Architects and features new works by established and emerging Chinese designers Liu Feng, Shi Jianmin, Naihan Li and Song Tao.
These outstanding new commissions will join pieces from the landmark London exhibition by designers including Ron Arad and Maarten Baas.
The exhibition will close October 3, 2013.
